LYNN GILMARTIN TO HOST 4th ANNUAL AMERICAN POKER AWARDS
World Poker Tour anchor steps in for three-time host Kara Scott
LAS VEGAS, NV – February 15, 2018 – WPT anchor and WPT Alpha8 anchor/producer Lynn Gilmartin has been revealed as event host for the 4th Annual GPI American Poker Awards in Los Angeles.
Lynn has been involved in the poker industry for over 10 years, starting as a casino marketing executive for the Crown Casino in Melbourne. She then moved on work for PokerNews as a reporter before heading to the World Poker Tour where she anchors WPT event coverage, which is broadcast to approximately one million homes across FoxSports networks every week.
Her years of interviewing the world’s greatest poker players has paid off at the tables as well. Lynn won the EPT Barcelona Womens Event in 2015 – defeating the largest Womens Event in EPT history. She owns five Hendon lines and four Hendon flags (Australia, Peru, Spain, USA) for those scoring at home.

Lynn steps in to replace American & European Poker Award winner Kara Scott, who is unable to host the Awards this year. Kara and her husband Gio are expecting their first child later this year. Scott has hosted all three editions of the American Poker Awards. She has also hosted the European Poker Awards and the Global Poker Masters for the GPI.
GPI American Poker Awards organizer Eric Danis: “I was sad to hear Kara wouldn’t be joining us this year (for a very amazing reason) but once Lynn accepted the invitation to host this year’s Awards I knew we were in good hands. Lynn certainly has big shoes to fill, but I know she will do a fantastic job!”
